Action Research--it sounds scary for the experienced teacher. Yet we often say to ourselves, "That unit did not work out like I had hoped. What could I have changed to see improvement?" Another subtitle for the title is "Action Research for Dummies"--simple steps will be shared, a sample action research plan examined, time provided to brainstorm with others on a unit you want to tweak.
